CARIBOU, Maine (NEWS CENTER) -- Police are searching for an unknown suspect after two drivers reported a rock thrown at their cars this month.

Caribou Police said Friday a driver reported a rock hit the hood of his car and damaged his windshield the afternoon of October 22 in the area of Patten and Fort Streets on Route 1.

"It appeared the rock hitting the vehicle was inflicted by someone who possibly threw it into the roadway," police wrote in a Facebook post.

Officers said they were unable to find anyone.

Another individual reported her windshield was hit and damaged in the same area on Oct. 4.

Police are asking the public to report any suspicious activity in the area. If you think you may have seen something Oct. 22, call 493-3301.
