PORTLAND, Maine (NEWS CENTER) — Maine's largest city has issued a "Yellow Zone" parking ban in order to help crews clean up the aftermath of snowstorm Stella.

Portland got more than 16 inches of snow in some parts.

The ban is in effect from 10 p.m. Wednesday through 6 a.m. Thursday.

Vehicles left on city streets within the zone during that time period will be "towed at the owner's expense," the city has warned.
