PORTLAND (NEWS CENTER Maine) — Police in Portland are asking the public for assistance in finding a suspect involved in an armed robbery Tuesday night.
According to police, the suspect entered the Riverton Gas Station on Forest Avenue shortly after 7:30 p.m. and brandished a handgun while demanding cash. The person then fled with an undisclosed amount.
Police said the suspect was last seen running outbound on Forest Avenue.

The suspect is described by police as being a white male who is about 5 feet 5 inches tall with a thin build. They said he was wearing a heavy dark jacket, dark cap, dark gloves and a half-face ski mask.
No was injured during the robbery, police said.
