*UPDATE 10/29 4:30p – Jaedyn Smith has been returned home safely, according to one of the city's police captains.

WESTBROOK, Maine (NEWS CENTER) -- Police are searching for a 14-year-old girl who was reported missing Friday morning.

Jaedyn Smith was discovered missing by her mother this morning when she went to wake Jaedyn up for school, but the teenage girl was gone.

Police say Jaedyn was last seen last night around 11:30 pm. She may have been seen near Westbrook High School around noon, but police say they have not been able to confirm that sighting.

Jaedyn has brown hair, blue eyes, is 5 feet 4 inches tall, and weighs about 115 pounds, according to police. She was last seen wearing black leggings, black sneakers, and a grey top with a palm tree emblem.
