*UPDATE* 10/19 2:15 a.m. – The Department of Inland Fisheries & Wildlife says a passing motorist spotted Warren nearly nine miles away from where she was last seen.

The say the motorist was alerted earlier by media attention that wardens were searching for Warren and quickly alerted police. Warren was located near the intersection of Routes 1A and 46 in West Holden at the Masonic Hall. She appeared to be doing well.

*UPDATE* 10/18 8:45 p.m. – Warren was found safe at about 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, according to the Orrington Police Department. The department thanks those who were involved in searching for her.

ORRINGTON, Maine (NEWS CENTER) — Police in Orrington are asking the public for assistance in locating a missing woman who has Alzheimer's.

Police say Joan Warren, 73, first went missing at about 10:30 a.m. Wednesday and was last seen on Center Drive at about 1 p.m. heading up the mountain. They said she was wearing a white jacket, a blue shirt and brown shoes.

Warren is described as being 5 foot 3 inches tall and 150 pounds with short gray hair and brown eyes.
