TYNGSBOROUGH, Mass. (WBIN) — Police and fire departments recovered the body of a young man from the Merrimack River this afternoon.

Massachusetts State Police Air Wing told police they spotted a body in the river at 11:45 a.m. State police assisted Nashua police departments, which had been searching the river for a missing person.

However, the identity of the recovered body remains unconfirmed so far.

Police and fire recovered the body at approximately 12:20 p.m.

The incident is still under investigation.
