Lewiston Police investigate Armory break in

LEWISTON, Maine (NEWS CENTER) -- The Lewiston Police Department said is has identified those involved in an overnight break in at the Lewiston Recreation Department.

A teacher arrived around 7 a.m. on Wednesday to find fire extinguishers sprayed over the floor, vending machines broken and graffiti sprayed on walls.

The mess was cleaned up quickly, and the Rec. Department said it will be ready for basketball at 5 p.m.

After viewing security camera footage, police said they identified three juveniles who were involved. Police won't release their names, but said they are all known to the department and live locally. Police also are waiting for the total cost of the damage to be calculated to decide whether or not felony charges can be filed.
