Jacob’s family writes:

“We’d like to send our hearts and prayers to former First Lady Barbara Bush and her family.

Mrs. Bush, we are eternally grateful for your namesake, The Barbara Bush Children's Hospital at Maine Medical Center. Jacob received many of his treatments there, as well as hospice. We made many memories in those rooms and halls, and are so grateful to have a world-class Children’s Hospital in our hometown. Without this hospital, we know Jacob would have spent much more precious time out of state, away from friends, family, and home.

Please know we are just one of the many families you have helped during some of the most difficult trials of our lives. Love and light to you and your family.”
