HAMPDEN (NEWS CENTER Maine) – The victim of a stabbing in Hampden remains in critical condition as the woman charged with attempted murder is set to make her first court appearance Tuesday.
38-year-old Sonya Dupray was charged after police responded to an apartment building on Rt. 1A in Hampden Friday night and found a man with serious stab wounds, according to police.
53-year-old Matt Dugas was rushed to Eastern Maine Medical Center.
Police say a neighbor in the building heard Dugas screaming for help and immediately called 911.
It is still unclear what relationship the pair had and what motivated Dupray.
Dupray is currently being held in Penobscot County Jail.
