POLAND, Maine (NEWS CENTER)-- 20-year-old Isaiah Strong-Gassama was arrested Friday night as the fifth suspect in an armed robbery that occurred on the Empire Road in Poland back in October, 26th, according to Androscoggin County Chief Deputy William Gagne.
No one was harmed in the initial incident.
Strong-Gassama, who officials say is a transient, was arrested at a residence on Rosewood Lane in Poland. The sheriff's office says Strong-Gassama tried to flee the residence, but was then arrested without incident and brought to Androscoggin County Jail where he is currently being held on $20,000 cash bail. The suspect is expected to be arraigned on Monday.
Two others who were previously arrested for the robbery and made bail have since been arrested again for violating their bail conditions; Michaela Wagg, age 20 of Richmond and her brother, Caleb Wagg, age 18 of Bowdoin.
Bail conditions prohibited the siblings from having contact with each other, but on November 18th the two were found as passengers in a vehicle together during a traffic stop. Michaela fled the scene but was later found. Caleb later turned himself in at the Androscoggin County Jail on November 24th.
Also arrested for robbery in connection with the October incident were Jordan Small, age 18, and John Wright, also age 18, both of Auburn. The two have since been released on bail.
