79-year-old murdered in Bridgewater, arrest made

Aroostook County Sheriffs Office were asking residents on the Boundary Line Road in Bridgewater to remain inside and lock their doors as they investigate 'an incident.' One man is dead and police are investigating the cause

UPDATE 3 - Officials say 79-year-old Paul Hilenski, of Bridgewater, was shot and killed Wednesday evening. Maine State Police arrested 37-year-old James Peaslee of Easton early Thursday morning and charged him with murder in connection with the death Hilenski's death.

Peaslee was arrested in Easton early Thursday morning. He was transported to the Aroostook County jail without incident, according to Maine Public Safety Spokesperson Steve McCausland.

UPDATE #2: 11:15PM From the Aroostook County Sheriff's Facebook page. The incident on the Boundary Line Road is no longer active and people may feel free to move about as they see fit. However, some police presence will remain as a criminal investigation is underway.

UPDATE: 10PM State Police and the Aroostook County Sheriff's Office are now investigating a suspicious death in Bridgewater. Police say the victim is a man.

According to Public Safety spokesman Steve McCausland, the sheriff's office received a 911 call about 6pm about the death at 227 Boundary Line Road. A team of State Police detectives have arrived in Bridgewater to investigate.
