UPDATE: Police have arrested a man in Boothbay Harbor for allegedly trying to steal from a home in Nobleboro. Police say 19-year-old Hunter Andrews was arrested Monday night around 10:30 p.m. and is being charged with robbery.
Police say the arrest came after a tip was phoned in. Andrews was confronted at his home and police say he admitted to the home invasion in Nobleboro.
Andrews was taken to Two Bridges Regional Jail where he is being held without bail pending an appearance in court.
NOBLEBORO (NEWS CENTER Maine) — The Lincoln County Sheriff's Office is investigating a home invasion that happened on Center Street in Nobleboro Monday.
Deputies say a white man attempted to steal valuables from the home and had a hand tool he was using as a weapon. The suspect had a brief confrontation with the homeowner and fled without taking anything around 8 a.m.
The suspect is described as a thin white man around 20-years-old with blonde wavy hair and approximately 6 feet tall.
He was last seen driving away from the home in a green Ford Explorer.
