BIDDEFORD, Maine (NEWS CENTER) — Two people were taken to the hospital this morning after a stabbing incident in Biddeford. It happened around 5 a.m., but police still aren't sure exactly why.

The two men involved are in their mid-20s and from Portland. Police said witnesses to the stabbing were not being cooperative.

Investigators spent hours Sunday gathering evidence at multiple scenes. They blocked off multiple apartment buildings with police tape along with a Papa John's pizza restaurant that had a large blood stain on its window.

Both men underwent treatment at Maine Medical Center and are expected to survive.

Biddeford Police does not believe the public is in any danger. No charges have been filed nor arrests made.
