BRUNSWICK (NEWS CENTER Maine) — Wednesday night was a busy evening for armed robberies in Maine with one attempted in Old Orchard Beach and two others in Auburn and Brunswick.
Police in Brunswick are looking for a man who used a semi-automatic gun to hold up the Amato's restaurant at 148 Pleasant St.
Police say the man walked into the Amato's around 9:45 p.m. with a scarf pulled over his face. He showed his gun to an employee and demanded money.
Police say the man is between 5’5” and 5’11” tall, slightly tan with multi-colored eyes and thick eyebrows. He was wearing dark-colored gray or black jeans, sneakers, a black hooded sweatshirt and a dark-colored windbreaker. Police say the man was also wearing what appeared to be black disposable examination type gloves
Police say the man was last seen running west on Pleasant Street. Freeport Police used their dogs to try and find the man's scent but could not find him.
