BANGOR, Maine (NEWS CENTER) -- Downtown Bangor is getting in the holiday spirit.
Crews put up Bangor's holiday tree in West Market Square on Tuesday morning.
This year's tree is a 28-year-old, 40-foot balsam fir from Glenburn.
Sprague’s Nursery donates the tree and Emera Maine helps string the lights.
Dan Sprague from Sprague’s Nursery has been donating the tree for the over 25 years and says this year was a little easier.
"This tree was right next to the driveway. Super easy and I don't think it took us more than an hour to cut and get it home", said Sprague.
The tree lighting ceremony will be this Saturday, after the festival of lights parade.
