MILO, Maine (NEWS CENTER) – People from Milo to Millinocket experienced a taste of winter after the first flakes of the season fell on Friday.
Although the first snowfall of the season can be exciting, the roads became dangerous.
Just half an hour after the snow began falling, three cars traveling south on I-95 spun out of control and landed in ditches.
None of those passengers suffered any injuries but they said this is not how they wanted to bring in the winter season.
One man said the roads were slick and that one dose of winter weather is enough for him.
“I’m looking forward to Florida,” said Victor Mercer. “We go down for the first week in December and then we’ll go down for winter after Christmas.”
Although much of the snow has turned to rain, officials said freezing rain could make roads icy.
