PORTLAND, Maine (NEWS CENTER) -- Thanks to help from students across southern Maine, the Preble Street Resource Center in Portland now has tons of food for this Thanksgiving, and beyond.

The 11th annual Rewind 100.9 Stuff the Bus food drive donated more than 110,000 pounds of non-perishable items.

Students spent the last few months collecting the food, and worked along side senator Angus King today to unpack the bus-load of supplies.

It's a big help for Preble Street, not just for Thanksgiving, but to keep Mainers fed in the months that follow.

The Stuff the Bus food drive has brought in over a million pounds of food to Preble Street in the last ten years.
