SACO, Maine (NEWS CENTER) -- After enjoying a thanksgiving dinner, many families set out to find the perfect Christmas tree for their home. At the Saco Museum they picked not one but about 40 Christmas Trees to represent the city's past, present and future.

The display at the Museum includes four, seven and ten foot trees. Families from the city were invited to decorate a tree to represent the theme Reflections of Christmas: Past, Present, Future. The Tripp family decided to decorate a tree with pictures of the five generations of relatives that have a long history in Saco.

"The result is way more than I ever expected," said Nancy Tripp."It's just going to be great to see people come to the festival all throughout the holidays and have our families represented."

Another tree on display represents a family with a unique make up. The 140 students that live on campus at Thornton Academy decided to decorate a Christmas tree to show the 17 countries that make up the diverse Saco school.

"Once we found out that the theme was families we decided that we wanted to make a tree to represent our crazy, funny, very unique family," said dorm parent Sarah Carrier.

The Saco museum has put boxes in front of some of the trees that you can buy a raffle ticket for. They will be drawing the winning tickets on December 15 to decide who will get to take the trees home.
