BAR HARBOR, Maine (NEWS CENTER) -- The Gotham Independent Film Awards this year feature movies like The Big Sick and Get Out. Among those that hit the theaters nationwide, there’s a small Maine film written, shot, and edited in Bar Harbor; Strange Eyes of Dr. Myes.

It’s the brainchild of filmmaker, Nancy Andrews, who also teaches film at the College of the Atlantic.

Strange Eyes of Dr. Myes is one of five nominees in the category "Breakthrough Series - Short Film."

It has since been adapted into a web series on YouTube.

If you're worried about the ending, Nancy hints a sequel is in the works.
