Man adopts kitten after finding her clinging to his truck's tire

How many times have you seen a picture of a cute kitten or adorable puppy and asked yourself the same question: just who could say no to that face? Luckily for this young kitten, who had been abandoned by her mother in an office parking lot, the man who found her cowering beneath a tire, and his wife, felt very much the same.

Reddit user JustAnotherGoodGuy, the wife of the gentleman in question, told the kitten’s story on a recent thread, accompanied by some truly gorgeous pictures: “The mama kitty ran off. She’d been living in the office parking lot for a couple of years, but this is the first seen of kittens. No other kittens were found. My husband sent this picture and said ‘can I bring it home?’ Who could say no to that face?”

The kitten, later named Axel after the car part she was found trembling beneath, had been left behind after her mother, a regular visitor to the parking lot, ran away. It is unknown whether she came back to look for the kitten.

Following Axel’s rescue, Mr and Mrs JustAnotherGoodGuy, as they have come to be known on Reddit, took the kitten to a veterinarian, where they discovered that Axel was between four and five weeks old, and female. “[She is] clear-eyed and clean now,” the couple pronounced on their Reddit thread, before revealing that they had chosen to keep her.

“Oh, she’s a keeper. [Axel] has made herself right at home with our nineteen-year-old cat and two-year-old dog. She’s safe, sound, warm, and… loved… She really hasn’t shown a lot of interest in going outside. She knows she’s found a good thing,” said JustAnotherGoodGuy.
