PORTLAND, Maine (NEWS CENTER) — It might seem like an unlikely combination… classical music and sports.

Possibly even odder when you throw NEWS CENTER's Lee Goldberg into the musical mix.

The Portland Symphony Orchestra held one if its Discovery Concerts Sunday afternoon, and this time it was sports themed. Gymnasts flipped, the entire orchestra wore sports uniforms and fight songs were played.

Lee Goldberg gave it a run at bat when he played the real-life role of sportscaster during Beethoven's Fifth Symphony. He called all the shots — even when the team got a first-down beat.

The PSO even took the time to let the crowd enjoy loudly singing a round of "take me out to the ballgame."
