BANGOR, Maine (NEWS CENTER) — Police are investigating the kidnapping of a man in the Greater Bangor Area who claims he was forced to make a fraudulent bank transaction.

Bangor police said they received a report Friday of a man who had been picked up in Brewer and driven to a bank in Bangor to complete the transaction against his will.

The victim was released and managed to recount a vehicle description and accurate plate number. Officers then pulled the suspect vehicle over on I-395 around 3 p.m.

Three men from Georgia were arrested in connection with the incident, all charged with Class B kidnapping: Isaiah Roberts, 20, of Villa Rica; Jeral Blackmon, 39, of Atlanta; and Anthony Foster, 44, of Decatur.

The investigation is ongoing and additional information from police is expected Monday.
